San Francisco's Gay Pride Celebrations

Naturally, being the outspoken supporter of civil freedom that I am, and being so close to Market Street, I would be remiss in my duties were I not to give my faithful readers a little peek of the Gay Pride Celebrations in San Francisco.

Because Proposition 8, a sneaky ballot bill designed to quash the gay marriage movement in California, was pushed through by a bunch of activist, right-wing religious fanatics, an unprecedented number of people showed up to support the basic human right of people to marry whomever they choose. Here is a great source for news and stories related to this important social issue: The Gay Boomer Post, and their blog: gay boomers and the middle aged queer. As one friend of mine once said, "Why shouldn't gay people have the right to be just as miserable as everybody else?"

I hope you enjoy the photos!

Church of the Subgenius

People often ask me about my religious beliefs: Although I am a confirmed pantheist, I am also an ordained minister of the Dallas based, Church of the Subgenius. I find their beliefs to be fully compatible with pantheism. And, they put out some hilariously entertaining promotional material. I know you will enjoy these videos, I recommend watching the top one first:
