Montana Democrat Introduces Bill to Decriminalize Marijuana

Democratic Rep. Brady Wiseman, of Bozeman, Montana, has introduced a bill which would reduce the punishment for possession of less than thirty grams of marijuana to a fine of $50. Montana's current punishment for possession in that amount is a fine of $500 and up to six months of imprisonment.

Naturally, law enforcement groups are against the measure--they get a lot of funding from the federal government for arresting and prosecuting non-violent drug offenders.

  1. I think it is a shame the way human being think about marijuana. It is used to relax and feel fine, not to destroy or harm.
I liked the picture, it's so green!
